Hiring for the 2008 summer camp season has been completed and we are no longer accepting resumes.
Aquatics:
The YMCA of peterborough is looking for qualified individuals in aquatics to be lifeguards / swimming instructors and lifeguards / aquafitness instructors
Qualifications:
- minimum 16 years old
- current:
- NLS
- Swimming Instructors
- (YMCA / Red Cross /Llifesaving)
- Standard First Aid
- CPR level “C”
- AED Certification

Adult Fitness and Lifestyle Staff / Trainer (part-time)
Requirements:
- one or more of the following
- Post-secondary certificate in Physical Education, Fitness or Recreation or related field
- Certified Personal Training (YMCA, CanFit Pro, CPTN, ACE)
- Group Fitness Leadership (YMCA, CanFit Pro)
- Current First Aid / CPR certification
- Criminal Reference Check
- Strong Communication Skills
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring of conditioning centre including interaction with members, provide exercise tips and technique
- Direct delivery of equipment orientations and individual exercise programs
- Relationship building and regular contact with members, volunteers, participants and staff
- Flexible hours, days, evenings and weekends

Requirements:

- Certified Personal Training (YMCA, CanFit Pro, CPTN, ACE)
- Current First Aid / CPR certification

- Strong Communication Skills
Responsibilities:
- Direct program delivery of a variety of group fitness classes.
- Ongoing administration duties related to group fitness including scheduling, providing training opportunities and volunteer management.
- Relationship building and regular contact with members, volunteers, participants and staff.
- Assist with staff and volunteer supervision and provide team leadership.
- Flexible hours, days, evenings and weekends
